Job Description


  • Working on cross-functional projects, coordinating with other project, product, and resource managers
  • Coordinating development projects in a fast-paced, technology based development environment
  • Supervising, coaching, working with, and motivating internal and external project members to take positive action without having direct managerial authority over those members
  • Taking high-level directives and leading the development of cradle-to-grave project plans based on internal product lifecycle processes and best practices
  • Thoroughly understanding and managing the Project Triangle of each project; Time, Cost, and Scope; and understanding project and product quality; what are they and how do we best measure them?
  • Communicating project status using metrics to team members and stakeholders in a clear, effective, and timely manner
  • Determining need for additional resources on a project and notifying appropriate resource manager with supporting assessment
  • Supervising the assessment of risk during a project, identifying priority and mitigation strategy, and communicating these to team members and stakeholders

Job Requirements


  • Experience managing hardware projects with mechanical and electrical engineering emphasis
  • Experience coordinating concurrent cross-functional projects amid changing priorities
  • Strong people skills - must be able to collaborate and work with a diverse team
  • Strong communication skills - upward, parallel and downward in the organization
  • Experience maintaining project status reports including the collection and rendering of metrics, schedule reporting, milestone reporting, and setting up/coordinating project meetings; monitoring progress and risk, and generating reports showing variance between planned and actual status
  • Working knowledge of trade-offs in design for manufacturing, quality and cost
  • 10 years of experience required
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree required; mechanical or electrical engineering degree strongly recommended
  • PMP certification is preferred
  • Gaming Industry experience preferred
