Job Description

AGS is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer II with passion for high quality software. Reporting to Lead Software Test Engineer, the candidate will provide support to development during features implementation. He/she will be responsible to test each one of our platforms. He/she will work closely with Senior Staff Engineers and other departments within the organization. Will collaborate across the engineering divisions in integration testing of new releases or hot-fixes of software solutions prior to releasing to QA.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering or a related field
  • 4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance in Agile environments preferred
  • Experience in software development, integration, automation and quality assurance
  • Familiar with code repositories
  • Familiar with hardware integration
  • Experience in writing tests cases and validating in parallel with the team developing the applications
  • Object Oriented Programing concepts and practices
  • Programing skills in C/C++, C#, Linux, SQL, Network
    • Develop tools for integration testing
    • Automatize manual testing process
  • Perform manual test
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Must have very good written and verbal communication skills
  • Casino Gaming experience a plus

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

The duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans across platforms
  • Perform black box and white box testing
  • Setup and maintain test labs
  • Reproduce field issues in test lab and escalate issues to the appropriate department
  • Create tests – ideally up-front but on a just-in-time basis per feature if needed
  • Execute tests and improve iteratively as new features become part of regression and other test cycles
  • Develop, document, and maintain the test cycles, tests and test steps for software, services and hardware
  • Design and implement acceptance criteria, test cases, and test plans for new and existing feature.
  • Perform functional, regression, exploratory, smoke and ad-hoc testing on all new and existing features.
  • Report discovered issues with a clear detailed description to the appropriate teams.
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospective and design meetings
  • Responsible for manual and automation testing
  • Build effective working relationship with co-workers
  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism
