Job Description

The mechanical engineer 1 will be responsible for learning and applying best practices in product design as well as sustainable engineering to enable the immediate and on-going production for company products in a fast paced environment. The candidate must continually apply engineering best practices and interpretation of analyzed data to make contributions to the team related to piece part development and documentation; as well as support other engineers with their efforts and team goals.


  • Learn and apply design best practices based on training and the experience of peers.
  • Design large casino gaming equipment utilizing best practices for materials such as sheet metal, plastic, glass, etc. relying on one’s own experience as well as peer input.
  • Design 3D and 2D CAD models to convey design intent to suppliers validating parts when received that they meet fit, form, and function.
  • Self-review 3D and 2D models to ensure proper modeling and design practices, apply peer review feedback as needed for design, or process, feasibility and improvements
  • Learn and apply engineering best practices as it applies to design for manufacturing and design for service
  • Work closely with the electrical engineers to determine PCB requirements, monitor requirements, electrical component feasibility
  • Work as a team to accomplish design goals including cross functional team members to accomplish product launch, service documentation, assembly work instructions in order to support mass production ramp
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, production, and suppliers to improve and implement design
  • Support lab, prototyping, and build efforts as needed to accomplish team goals working with expensive lab equipment taking responsibility for maintenance and safety.



Job Requirements


  • BS mechanical engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience in mechanical product development related roles.
  • Experience preferred with, but exposure to, major mechanical computer aided design software (i.e. Solidworks, PTC Creo, etc.) depending on experience level.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles as it applies to product design and development.
  • Ability to self-manage multiple action items, project timelines, and responsibilities with periodic report out to supervisors.
  • Thorough, clear, and excellent verbal and written mechanical communication skills to convey designs, design intent, issues to peers and management.
  • Competent with common software to enable the job function (i.e. Microsoft Office products, etc.).
  • Competent with common and standard mechanical workshop tools.
