Job Description

The Bill of Material Coordinator creates configured BOMs by reviewing order information, views the allocated cabinets for needed parts and validates part numbers to ensure accurate and timely implementation into production. Determines pull dates for production orders based on ship date and coordinates shipping of any theme changes and upgrades. Works with multiple computer systems to make inventory adjustments, maintains item master information and clearly communicates to related departments any material factors that may affect production schedules.

  • Enter all BOM’s/sale orders/production orders into ERP system for new cabinets, used cabinets, game theme changes and hardware upgrades.
  • Enter sales orders and delivery tickets into ERP system for additional items necessary to complete a customer’s order
  • Resolves order issues with regards to incorrect, missing or damaged parts.
  • Schedules advanced shipment of upgrade and game theme change orders; provides shipping information to field service personnel
  • Add/Maintain part numbers in ERP system related to BOM’s, game themes and phantom part numbers.
  • Reviews tear down sheets for parts needed in used cabinets when configuring BOMs for customer orders
  • Communicate order dates to inventory and purchasing personnel so parts are pulled and available when required
  • Reviews various application reports to confirm correct information for all orders.
  • Works closely with Operations to ensure all order information has been provided by Sales team


Job Requirements

  • Education requirement or three years of related experience in a production planning environment
  • Ability to develop assembly level build requirements in logical order.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret assembly drawings and procedures
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean principles in a dynamic assemble-to-order business
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, process maps, procedure manuals.
  • Possesses good communication skills, a positive “get-it-done” attitude, and the ability to work as part of a team in a demanding production environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Work experience using a production planning and/or inventory management system such as Oracle, SAP or MS Dynamics required
  • Work experience using a product configurator tool such as eCon, Infor CPQ, Autodesk Configure One, etc preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel required
