Job Description

This Accounting Manager role oversees staff responsible for customer invoice processing, cash collections, revenue and related cost of revenue accruals, monthly accounting cycle closing, general ledger management (revenue and cost of revenue accounts and related balance sheet accounts), account reconciliations, and various other tasks as assigned.

  • Ability to think strategically and understand business and forecast trends.
  • Desire to implement, manage and maintain multiple strategic processes with
    • an aptitude to learn new systems and
    • implement procedures designed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the invoicing process.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department in the areas of accounts receivable, cash collections, revenue recognition and sales/use tax.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
  • Ensure that all assigned GL balance sheet accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Accomplish accounting department objectives by enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Act as the accounting liaison with Sales and Product Management departments to address questions/concerns to ensure business needs are being met.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing assigned projects as needed.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or similar position
  • CPA preferred
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills are a must
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
  • Successfully manage multiple priorities with quick turnaround
  • Strong organization skills
  • Must be proactive & self-directed with good time-management skills
  • Ability to direct and supervise staff

Computer/Technical Skills

  • Experience with ERP computer software a plus
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
